
Mission: Provide high-quality climate information
tailored to meet the needs of individual citizens and
decision-makers in Oklahoma.
Goals:
- Update and maintain climate data records
- Develop web-based and PC-based tools to access
climate records
- Respond to requests for climate data, including
specialized data sets
- Produce routine climate summaries and post-event
analyses
- Research historical climate and extreme weather
events to provide a documented, detailed history of
Oklahoma's climate
- Analyze policies (federal, state, and local) that
impact the Weather Center community
- Develop consortia of academics and practitioners to
address local weather-related hazards
- Engage in climate-related research to benefit
citizens and decision-makers in Oklahoma
